Well, it’s been a while since I last journaled here. Between the last post and now I’ve been working hard on a handful of projects, some of which wont be out for a while. However, The Nashville Scene brought me out of my editing cave to photograph one hell of a NYE show called New Year’s Sleaze. Thelma and the Sleaze is easily one of my favorite bands here in Nashville, and undoubtedly puts on one of my favorite live shows.
I decided to take my Pentax 645 and a few rolls of black and white film out for this one. I’m never worried about using my flash either for music like this, an aesthetic often synonymous with punk photographs of the late 20th century.
I hope everyone is having an amazing 2020 so far, and make sure to check out Thelma and the Sleaze as soon as you can!
